Hawaii - The Islands of Paradise

I have lived all over the world in my life time. To this day the best place on earth for me is Hawaii. The people are the friendliest people I have ever encountered. The weather is fabulous, tons of things to do, the beaches are chrystal clear and the food is unbelievable.

When you live on the islands, It is bright and sunny every morning and all day long and the sun doesn't set till after 9pm. Palm trees are everywhere and the flowers are just amazing. The fragrances from their flowers are like no other that fill your senses with delight. My favorite being Plumeria to this day.

Hawaiian dancing is exciting to watch and try. It is fun and festive and the people greet you with open arms from the moment you land and get off the plane and give you a freshly made lei made of flowers. Is there anywhere is that does that? There is fire in their dancing from the men and the women dance with their body and hands telling you a story.

The tropical drinks are creative and pretty wheather or not you have alcohol in it or not with fresh fruit and of course the little umbrella and served in a hallowed out pinapple. Cool or what?

There are just so many places to visit on the islands. On Oahu there is always the Kodak Hula show that every visitor has to see. The Dole pinapple factor which has the best and freshest pinapple you will ever taste and it just melts in your mouth. Ala Moana, one of the largest malls you will ever visit unlike any other with awsome cool things to buy.

The beaches are stunning with the ocean filled with beautiful shades of blue, white sand with the perfect temperature of water splashing against you. You can see Diamond Head which I have traveled all the way to the top just because. Surfing is buckets of fun wheather or not you are good at it, it is alot of fun to try. I love to sail so sailing is a must. The wind blowing in your face and the smell of that salt water just makes you feel free of anything that's on your mind. It just vanishes in a second.

Shopping is unbelievable and you can buy things so different and interesting. I love the lava statues which I have over 50 of and puka shell necklaces/bracelets. Hats are made of leaves that then dry and are fun to make.

On the island of Kauai is where the famous black sand beaches are. I have some in a bottle. Where do you see black sand at a beach? Only there my friends, only there.

I lived there for years and to this day it is simply paradise. I want to win lotto and go back and live there for the rest of my life ! I love the islands so much that here in CT where I live, this is my ceiling fan to bring me back to the islands when I look at it instantly. Cool or what?

When you say paradise, this is it...Hawaiian style is the way to go.
